Naser Ahmed is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Environment (GIScience) at the Faculty of Social Science, Western University. His research focuses on developing spatial accessibility models by integrating advanced transport science and microclimate modelling. Using hyperlocal data and GeoAI, he explores strategies to enhance urban resilience against extreme weather events, particularly extreme heat. His work promotes climate-sensitive urban design to prepare cities for future climate change. At the WeCLISH Centre, Naser aims to contribute to and benefit from a dynamic exchange of multidisciplinary knowledge, fostering innovative solutions for climate adaptation and sustainable urban planning.
